Facebook Considers Offering Members Online Gambling Opportunities
Facebook, the world’s largest social media network, is considering offering its users access to online casino games via their website. Recently, the social network giant changed its advertising regulations and now allows online gambling companies the ability to advertise. If Facebook does launch online casino games on their site, it will draw in a whole new stream of revenue.
Currently, Facebook is in talks with a number of gambling experts, online casinos and consultants to determine whether it is in its best interest to offer real-money gambling opportunities to its members. While there is no question that Facebook offering online casino games would be lucrative for both Facebook and the online casinos it partners with, there are issues that need to be addressed and figured out, such as revenue sharing and finding an appropriate age verification agreement.
If Facebook does succeed, offering online casino games is likely to be a very profitable move for the company considering it’s already one of the top sites to offer free online gaming.
