Types of Online Casino Roulette Bets
There are several types of online casino roulette bets available for the online casino gambler. The roulette layout contains 49 boxes. There is a box for each number to bet upon - 0, 00, and 1 to 36. This is called a straight roulette bet. A straight bet pays 35 to 1.
The 11 other boxes are for the special bets:
- 1ST 12 Box - This is an online casino roulette bet on the first twelve numbers, 1 to 12. The box appears bellow the first 12 numbers square.
- 2nd 12 Box - This is a roulette bet on the second third of the 12 numbers, 13 to 24. The box appears bellow the second 12 numbers square.
- 3rd 12 Box - This is a roulette bet on the final third twelve numbers, 25 to 36. The box appears bellow the third 12 numbers square.
- 1 to 18/ 19 to 36 Boxes - This is called the high/low bet, and is a roulette bet on either the first 18 numbers or on the last 18 numbers. The 1 to 18 bix appears bellow the 1st 12 box and the 19 to 36 box appears bellow the 3rd 12 box.
- Even/Odd Boxes - The odd/even bet is a roulette bet on either the odd numbers(i.e 1. 3, 5, 7, etc.), or on the even numbers(2, 4, 6, etc.). The even box appears below the 1st 12 box and the odd box appears below the 3rd 12 box.
- Red/Black Boxes - This is a roulette bet on either the black numbers- 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29, 31, 33, 35; or on the red numbers(sometimes appearing white)- 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 30, 32, 34, 36. This bet appears below the 2nd 12 box.
- 2 to 1 Boxes - there are three 2 to 1 boxes, one for each column of numbers. This is called column bets.
Other Roulette Bets
Split Bets - This is a roulette bet on 2 numbers that are next to each other. To place it, place your chips on the line between the two boxes of the numbers you chose. This bet pays 17 to 1.
Street Bets - This is a roulette bet on a row of numbers. To place this bet, put your chips on the line at the bottom of the row of the three numbers you chose. The payout here is 11 to 1.
Corner Bets - This is a roulette bet on four numbers. The four numbers are next to each other so they create a four box square. To place the bet, put the chips in the middle of the four box square. The payout for this roulette bet is 8 to 1.
Top Line Bets - A roulette bet on five numbers. Includes 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3. This is a bet that is not recommended because it has bad house odds(7 percent).
Line Bets - This is an online casino roulette bet on two rows of numbers. To place it, place your chips on the line at the bottom of the rows, at the point in the middle of the two rows. This bet pays 5 to 1.
