Online Baccarat Rules - How to Play Internet Baccarat
Online Baccarat is the simplest, and perhaps the most fun online casino game available. Baccarat is a game that offers online casino players wonderful house edge possibilities, and rates that make bet placement worth while.
The player, according to online baccarat rules, is also called punto, while the banker is called banco.
The goal of baccarat - Online baccarat rules state, that 2 or 3 cards are drawn to the players, and with those cards they need to get a total of 9, or get the closest score to 9 they can.
Following we describe the card value set according to online baccarat rules:
- Numbers 2 to 9 - These cards are counted at face value.
- Aces - Counted as 1.
- 10s, Js, Qs, Ks - Counted as 0.
If the resulting two cards add up to more than 9, 10 is subtracted from the score. For example, if you draw 7 and 5, the score of 12 is reduced by 10, and thus the new resulting number equals 2(12-10=2).
Each hand draws up to 3 cards, when the third card is drawn only if the total score of the two cards is lower than 6.
Natural Cards are the 8 and 9 cards. If they are drawn by the player or by the dealer, then online baccarat rules do not allow for the opponent to draw a third card.
Starting to Play Online Baccarat
According to online Baccarat rules, this online casino game starts when two cards are dealt, one to the player and the other for the banker.
A betting round now occurs, and bets are made, either on the player winning, on the banker winning, or on a tie occurring.
If the player has two cards which add to 6 or higher, he stands and doesn’t draw another card. In this case the banker also stands with his two cards.
If the player receives a two card score that is less than 6, online baccarat rules enforce the player to draw another card. In this case the online casino banker will draw according to these rules:
- With a banker score of 2 or less - the banker draws another card.
- With a banker score of 3 - the bank draws a third card, unless the player's third card is an 8.
- With a banker score of 4 - the bank draws a third card, unless the player's third card is a 0, 1, 8, or 9.
- With the banker score of 5 - the bank draws a third card, only if the player's third card was 4, 5, 6, or 7.
- With the banker score of 6 - the bank draws a third card, only if the player's third card was a 6 or 7.
- With the banker score of 7 - the bank stands.
