So, you want to learn how to play craps online. The craps rules are simple. All you need to do is read this page and you can start playing. It will give you a play-by-play guide that you can use to better understand how to play online craps.

Online craps is a game where players each at there turn get their chance to throw the dice and all the players place bets on the outcome of the dice throw-this is the basic craps rules. It's a very simple game but is nonetheless one of the most exciting games in the online casino and this is why online craps is so appealing to players. Craps is the only online casino game where the players have a role in the result of the bet - and this is part of it's uniqueness. This is why craps rules have maintained it's game status throughout the history of casinos.

the First Bet - the Pass Line

According to craps rules, before the first player tosses his dice, an initial wager of money is betted and placed at the place on the online craps table marked "the pass line". This is an even bet that is made at the starting roll of the game, and is also placed by the thrower of the dice. The Shooter must first make either a Pass Line and/or Don't Pass Bet before rolling. If you want to practice some online craps turns go to OnlineCasinos.cd and try out a game or two to see how it really works.

Craps Rules of the First Roll of Dice - the Come Out Roll

This is when the shooter tosses the two dice for the first time in the online craps game.

  • If the first roll lands on 7 or 11 - Then all the bets put on the pass line win. The bets place on the "don't pass line" are lost.
  • If the first roll lands on 2, 3 or 12 - Then all the bets put on the pass line are lost, and this is called "craps". The bets made on the "don't pass" line are won for the numbers 2 and 3.
  • If the first roll lands on 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 - Then that result becomes the shooter's "Point".

the Rolls After the Point Was Established

After a point number was rolled, the shooter again tosses the dice.

  • If the shooter rolls a 7 before he rolls the point number - this means all pass line bets are lost, and don't pass bets are won.
  • If the shooter rolls the point number before rolling a 7 - this means all pass line bets are won, and don't pass bets are lost.
  • If any other numbers are rolled- then the shooters keeps rolling the dice until one of the previous outcomes mentioned come out.

Online Craps Examples:
the first dice roll is 3 - meaning instant loss for the shooter.
Online Craps Example of a roll 2: the first dice roll is 7 - meaning instant win for the shooter.
Online Craps Example of a Roll 3: the First Dice Roll is 4 (then 4 is the point), then 5, 8, 10, 4 are rolled. The shooter wins.

Change of Turn in Online Craps Rules

If the shooter wins at Online Craps, it means he has either rolled a 7/11 at the come out roll, or rolled the same dice score as the point that he rolled before. If the shooter loses, it means he has either rolled 2, 3 or 12 at the come out roll, or rolled a 7 after rolling the point. Either case, the shooter is changed to the next shooter standing to the right of the previous one, and the new shooter again rolls the come out roll. This goes on when each new player is changed in a clockwise movement over the craps table.

Pass Line Betting Rules

  • The first of the betting craps rules is that on the come out roll the bet must be at or above the table minimum of the craps game.
  • The bet place on the pass line cannot be taken down once the point has been established.

"Don't Pass" Line Betting Rules

  • Don’t pass bets can only be made at or above the table Minimum.
  • Don’t pass bets can be taken down at any time in the game, even after the point was established.

Free Odds Bet

The free odds wager is the most profitable bet in online craps or in any online casino game for that matter. This is because in this bet there is no advantage for the house over the player. This is where craps rules work for your advantage.

How to Place a Free Odds Bet

The free odds bet is available after the point has been established, when the previous bet made by the Online Craps player was either on the pass line or the don’t pass. The sum to be placed for the free odds bet equals to the original bet the player made.

Free Odds Possibilities of Winning

After the point is rolled, Craps rules say that the way in which odds are won is determined by the point number that was rolled in the online craps game:

  • If a 6 or 8 are rolled- player wins 6 to 5.
  • If 5 or 9 are rolled- player wins 3 to 2.
  • If 4 or 10 are rolled- player wins 2 to 1.
  • Rolls 7- player losses.
  • Rolls 11- a neutral result.
  • Rolls 2,3 or 12- Player is neutral.
  • Rolls other points- Player is neutral.
