Pinnacle Casino Plan Gets Approval of Louisiana Gaming Board
On September 18th, 2007, Pinnacle Entertainment Incorporated, a casino operator announced that they plan to construct a hotel facility and gambling entertainment resort facility in Baton Rouge, LA, move one step nearer to their plan after the state board approved Pinnacle's plans.
The Gaming Control Board of Louisiana approved Pinnacle's casino plans on the 550 acres of land that Pinnacle Entertainment owns or under lease in Baton Rouge. Pinnacle still needs numerous other approvals before their casino plans can push through.
The Pinnacle project will be constructed in different phases and will offer customers a top-class gambling resort that can be found at the center of an entertainment and residential area. In the 1st phase of the project, Pinnacle Entertainment will construct a one deck riverboat casino facility that can house 1,500 slot machines and fifty casino table games aside from a hotel facility that has 100 rooms.
Future casino plans include a residential area that features 400 single family units and 240 multi-family units, an additional hotel facility with 100 rooms and an extended stay hotel with 100 rooms.
The Pinnacle casino plan will also feature a service spa and health club, a tennis area and equestrian facility. The shares of Pinnacle improved by 5,9% to close at $27.18 that day.
